Addis nocturne

Creative documentary co-written with Francis Falceto

Pitch Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia, 21st century. Under neon lights or tropical skies, Addis Nocturne is an ode to a musical treasure of infectious sounds that too few of us know. Addis, its urban poetry, its night owls, its artists, can all be discovered through the sounds of its music. Live or recorded, the hits from the Ethiopians’ record collection Ethiopiques find their natural setting. From her tiny bistro to the stage of a major festival, the powerful voice of Azmari singer Eténesh Wassié breaks down boundaries.
